Aubrey Ruth Palmer
I am not sure if I have really ever posted much about what my brother Steven and his wife Kami have experienced over the last nine months. I want to let every one know how amazing they are, and how grateful I am to be a part of their lives. Around Thanksgiving, Steven and Kami found out that their little girl had Trisomy 18. Kami was just over 5 month pregnant, and Aubrey is their first child. Trisomy 18 is a genetic disorder where there are 3 chromosome instead of two on the 18th pair. (I think!!) The doctor told them all this could mean, but let them know that Aubrey looked great and there was every chance in the world that they would be able to have this sweet angel in their lives. Well, last Thursday, Steven and Kami went in for their final ultra sound to see if everything was okay. The doctor let them know that little Aubrey had already left this world. Kami delivered a beautiful 4.2 lbs. 17 in. long girl on Friday morning. We were allowed to get to hold her and feel of her sweet spirit. It is amazing the love Steven and Kami showed to her little body and the example they were to all who were there. They held a graveside for her on Saturday, and after they allowed anyone who wished to write Aubrey a letter and send it to her in heaven. (They tied the notes to balloons and released them.) I hope Steven and Kami know how much we love them and how grateful we are that Aubrey is part of our family.

I am so saddened by their loss. They are amazing people; I can't believe how faithful and strong they are. They are constantly in our prayers.
If you come down soon, I would love to see you. Let me know when.
PS Happy Belated Birthday!
Wow! I am in awe at their strength. I could not stop crying! I can't imagine going through something like that. Our thoughts and prayers will be with your entire family! Love you guys!
What a great way to remember her. This slideshow was so cute and sad at the same time. I couldn't stop crying as I was watching it. I am so amazed at the strength of Kami and Steven. They are amazing and lucky to have such great family and friends to help them through the whole thing. My prayers are with them and the rest of your family.
I have seriously been crying since my Mom called me the day Aubrey came! Thank you for your post, you are all so strong and such great examples to us all. i just really don't know how people could get through something like this without the gospel. We are so blessed to know that they will get to raise her in the next life!
Our prayers are with you all!

What a sweet little baby girl. How exciting for them to be able to raise her later. Words can not express how I feel. My heart has sunken into my stomach. It is amazing how Heavenly Father is. And it is amazing what He can do. I often wonder how I get through some days and it is him who has helped so much. Let them know of my heartache and understanding of them. What a cool family Aubrey is a part of.
