Family Reunion

Okay. So I have been horrible at updating my blog. I was gone for a week up in Greer for our Family Reunion, and I think I never got back into the swing of things until just recently. This is going to be a long post...there are just too many fun pics to show every one.

This is the cabin we stayed in. Our family is so big we take up two cabins, but this is the main one where we ate and played!

Because I found that new blog, I was having a blast trying out all the new hair styles on all the girls. I think one day I did 7 girls hair, but I loved it :)

Grandma is brave!! On Sunday we went to Eager for Sacrament meeting, then came back to the cabin for Sunday school, primary, priesthood, and Relief Society. Grandma is amazing and she took all these kids for Primary. They all had so much fun. Thanks MOM!

We had one night where we pushed aside the table and couches and did some country dancing. It was so fun and I loved getting Alan to dance...you can see how thrilled he is!

Savanna and my neice Maci. They are so cute together. Can you see how pretty is was up there...that is the cabin up on the hill.

Jay and Lincoln. We told them to hold hands and they just didn't get it. I guess that is good though right.

JoAnn and Haylee. JoAnn was in heaven with so many girl cousins up there.

Everyone seemed to have a book. It was just so relaxing and the perfect time to sit outside with a good book. I got addicted to Harry Potter while I was there and I am almost done with number 4.

While we were there, Mary Ann brought all the stuff up to make flowers for the girls hair. We had a blast and it was fun to get ideas from everyone.

Grandma was so good to help all the grandkids "catch their own fish." Which meant Grandma would catch it and let the kids pull it out on their own.

My brother Levi had is 19th birthday while we were there and all the kids tried to do a dog pile. We were so excited he was able to come up for the last big family reunions before he leaves.

Cutiest New Blog

Hey all! My sister Mary Ann posted about this site on her blog and I had to pass it on. For anyone who has little girls this is a life saver. It has the cutest hair does and explains how to do them with pictures! I don't know about all of you, but I need all the help I can get :)

Camping

This past weekend we were able to go camping with some of our good friends. The first night was so windy and cold, but the rest of the time it was beautiful. I love being able to get out and go camping. The kids had a blast and it was such a nice break.

Mission Call

My little brother Levi just got his mission call to...Melburn, Austrailia. I am so jealous and excited for him. He is going to be such an amazing missionary. Most of my family was there when he opened it, and those who weren't were on a Conference call. I love having such a big family and all the love and support we get from each other!!

Piano Recital

Okay! So I have been way behind on blogging. Life has been just a little hectic lately. I am hoping it will all calm down soon, but we will see. I have been teaching Piano now for about 6 months and I love it. We had our Recital last week and all of my students did so well. But I do have a favorite....JoAnn! She did so good and was not nervous at all. Everyone was scared to go first, but JoAnn wanted to. She played "Old McDonald" and did great!! I just had to say how proud I was of her. She is amazing!

I've Been Tagged!!

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 years ago: It was 1998. It was my Sophmore year! I was in Cheerleading and loved every minute of it...SHHH don't tell. I ran cross country and just turned 16! I loved driving and didn't even mind doing all the little errands my mom sent me on!

5 things on my to do list today:
1) Make piano recital invitations
2) Reminder calls for Mutual night
3) Do laundry
4) Dust house
5) Organize my junk drawer and kitchen cupboards

Snacks I enjoy: anything with chocolate, fruit, cookies, toast!

What I would do if I were suddenly a billionaire: pay off house and cars, go on a much needed vacation with the fam, build my dream home, and anything else I wanted to do right?

3 of my bad habits: eating way too much chocolate, staying up too late for nothing, cleaning up dinner before everyone is done eating (Sorry Alan:)

5 places I have lived: St. Johns, Thatcher, Mesa, Buckeye, Coolidge (All in AZ-I am so boring)

5 jobs I have had: house cleaner, I worked in the cotton fields, bank teller, worked at a glass company, MOM

5 things people don't know about me:
1) I love my chocolate
2) I just went on a cruise with my sisters (No kids or husband)
3) I just got called as Young Women's President
4) I love to clean (I know I am weird)
5) I would live in the cold anyday

Aubrey Ruth Palmer

I am not sure if I have really ever posted much about what my brother Steven and his wife Kami have experienced over the last nine months. I want to let every one know how amazing they are, and how grateful I am to be a part of their lives. Around Thanksgiving, Steven and Kami found out that their little girl had Trisomy 18. Kami was just over 5 month pregnant, and Aubrey is their first child. Trisomy 18 is a genetic disorder where there are 3 chromosome instead of two on the 18th pair. (I think!!) The doctor told them all this could mean, but let them know that Aubrey looked great and there was every chance in the world that they would be able to have this sweet angel in their lives. Well, last Thursday, Steven and Kami went in for their final ultra sound to see if everything was okay. The doctor let them know that little Aubrey had already left this world. Kami delivered a beautiful 4.2 lbs. 17 in. long girl on Friday morning. We were allowed to get to hold her and feel of her sweet spirit. It is amazing the love Steven and Kami showed to her little body and the example they were to all who were there. They held a graveside for her on Saturday, and after they allowed anyone who wished to write Aubrey a letter and send it to her in heaven. (They tied the notes to balloons and released them.) I hope Steven and Kami know how much we love them and how grateful we are that Aubrey is part of our family.
